		<title>Time Out Israel | February 2012</title>
<description>"Fernando Guerra, one of the most celebrated names in architectural photography today, arrived to Tel Aviv in a good time. The unstable weather allowed him to take a great series of photos. Guerra was in Israel as part of the "Aircraft Carrier" - The Israeli Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. He toured the country and photographed Israeli projects he will exhibit in Venice. As part of his visit, he even shot the building where we are based. Mr. Guerra, try to make us look nice, will you?"

The black continent has turned green: in the former heart of darkness there is room for hope, and both in the Sub-Saharan jungles and savannahs and in the political spring of the Mediterranean Coast budding green sprouts feed faith in a possible future.

		<title>José António Tenente | Amor Perfeito</title>
As imagens traduzem o ambiente elegante e sofisticado deste aroma.

<description>"The new Cité de l'Océan et du Surf Museum designed by american architect Steven Holl in collaboration with brazilian artist Solange Fabião opened on 25 June 2011. For three days Fernando Guerra photographed life inside. Whether it was someone inaugurating the museum or simply passing through in a hurry back from the beach, one observed an encounter between the opening ceremony in formal attire and a surfboard under the arm. Figures caught in a structure extending in a perpendicular fashion to the ocean in a concave wave that houses the translucent buildings. A wave is a privileged stage between sky and ocean, as illustrated in Steven Holl's conceptual designs at the root of the project. Here a museum was born that unites scientific research of the ocean with the playful aspect of living and sharing experiences through a sport which, interestingly, Steven himself has been a practitioner of, bestowing him with an extra understanding of the spirit and relationship with the ocean.

In collaboration with the New York studio, this special dossier presents these previously unpublished images, as well as watercolours of the creative process, final drawings and texts about the work written by those who have seen the completed building, as well as a piece by a long-time collaborator with Holl studio. Such elements allow all those who cannot pass through Biarritz to get to know the project in some depth.

Hence, the ultimasreportagens.com website continues its work of not only disseminating a photographer's work and national architecture, but also of buildings with an international reference. After a series of projects in Latin America by Isay Weinfeld, it is the turn of this work by Steven Holl in Europe. All of these projects constitute a large database and a collection of resources for consultation and reference that will remain available online. This is our daily goal.

Motivated by the uniqueness of this project and the piece that resulted from it, we decided to provide a print publication that documents the entire process. The book can be easily ordered online."

		<title>DELOOD | A view to a changing world | Exclusive interview with Fernando Guerra</title>
<description>"There are buildings that are more easily photographed than others. Not because they are necessarily better designed, but because they seem to display themselves well, as if they knew how to work the camera as a fashion model does. And there are others, which, although beautiful, don't work as well, whether because of the surroundings, the weather or its scale. It is up to the photographer to neutralize this difference..."

<title>Sangue Jovem | Figurinos de José António Tenente</title>

<description>"The project takes advantage of the demolition of the existing building, which occupied the whole of the plot, to design a new Plaza, with a scale and dignity to receive the Law Courts. In dialogue with the granite walls that define its surroundings, the Plaza takes on the form of a bottling of stone, upon which the Law Courts rest. The building, set on four pillars, ensures transparency and connection between the two gardens that delimit it to the North and the South..."

		<title>BELÉM LIMA | 12 Regards</title>
<description>"The projects presented in this book have an almost unitarian coherence which is surprising and may even be disconcerting to those who have not followed your career in the last years. Contrary to what would be the norm in the culture of the 1980s in which style varied from building to building and there were constant shifts. These works are homogenous, controlled. They function as a collection."

		<title>Book PROAP Landscape Architecture</title>
<description>"Over the past twenty years, João Nunes and the PROAP team have dedicated themselves to an almost obsessive search of a way to dialogue, to understand and to communicate with landscape in a perspective and involved manner. One of the concepts that better defines the architecture of this group of architects is their approach to the main design, given it becomes the most important process of creation. The essence of each project and each intervention is withheld in the design that defines the transformation of nature where each landscape is transformed by the feelings and sensations of each place..."

		<title>ARCHITECTURAL RECORD | Cover April 2011 | USA</title>
<description>"The Lisbon-based brothers Manuel and Francisco Aires Mateus push their residential designs out of the realm of the ordinary toward the surreal and dreamlike. In one project, they arranged the living room furniture of a beach house on a floor of deep sand. In another, a renovated winery, they suspended the volumes of the bedrooms over the living space like geometric stalactites. And in this project for a young family outside the small city of Leiria, they created the perfect archetypal form of a house, straight out of a Monopoly game box or a fairy tale. An apparently solid volume wrapped completely in white plaster — pitched roof and all — sits on the green plinth of an extended lawn, sharply profiled under the Portuguese sun (...)"

<description>"Uma ópera sem memória?
